Fat Fish #5 - Mosteller Crossing

Mosteller Ranch is a hidden gem on the east end of Casper Mountain. Be prepared to get your feet wet on this ride as there will be up to 7 creek crossings per lap.  We will be keeping the course short and sweet with minimal climbing.  We want all riders to finish in about an hour so they can participate (or at least root for your buddies) in the second annual Fat Fish Foot Down Competition.  There will be extra incentive for all racers to participate in the Foot Down competition.  Course description and information can be found below.  Lastly, live music will be provided by folk musician Jami Lynn out of Rapid City, SD.

Keep in mind that the Mosteller Ranch race is entirely on private property.  Besides being kind to the private land, if you see the land owners out working say hi and give a wave :-). The day of the race is the only day you can ride this course.  Please respect the land owners by driving the speed limit on all roads (and carpool if possible to keep traffic and dust down), staying on existing trail, and keep your dogs under control.

There will not be restrooms on site so please plan accordingly.

Additional thoughts; Mosquitoes and horse flys can be very bothersome this time of year, bring your bug spray.  Snakes have been seen in the area so please do not wander off the trails.  Bring an extra pair of socks, dry shoes and a camp chair to enjoy the music by Jami Lynn while the evening winds down!

Course Description and Information
The Mosteller Ranch race will snake in and out of several flowing creeks, cross beautiful horse pastures and even a turn of the century fish hatchery.  Expect a loop length of about 3 miles.
